Community Project!

Sewers & Quilters! We are looking for a little help with a community project – we are hoping to donate spring pillowcases to local seniors homes that have been hard hit by Covid over the winter. We were so happy with the 450+ pillowcases that were donated before the holidays that we thought we would like to do a spring event. We are looking for help in 3 ways:

#1 – Want to sew at home and donate a (or a bunch!) of spring pillowcases? Follow the fantastic tutorial at https://bit.ly/3Es8w2k – this is the best pattern as there are no seams and very easy to sew. If you have some happy fabric at home, fantastic! If not, we will have kits available for you to pick up while supplies last – come by, pick up a kit, sew at home and drop it off to us before April 7th as we are hoping to have these delivered just before Easter!

#2 – Have spring fabric at home and wish to donate? Perfect – you can drop it off anytime. We will prepare pillowcase kits for sewers to take home to sew and donate as well. Anything fun, happy and cheery – flowers, brights, chicks, etc!

#3 – On April 1st, we will be having a cut/sew/press/package day in our Friendship Center from 10-3. If interested, you can contact the shop to let us know you will attend!

All right – let’s pencil in those dates, take a peek at the video tutorial, see what cheery fabrics you might have to make a pillowcase, what cheery fabrics you might have to donate – let’s get together and spread some happiness!!!
