Sewers & Quilters! We are looking for a little help with a community project – Susan D is hoping to donate holiday pillowcases to local seniors homes that have been hard hit by Covid and if possible, many other spots as well. We are looking to help in 3 ways:
#1 – On November 15th and 24th, we will be having two sew days in our new Friendship Center from 10-3 if this a safe option on those days. If interested, you can contact the shop or Susan Delaney (we have her contact info) for further information on how you can stop by and sew, press & cut.
#2 – Want to sew at home and donate a (or a bunch!) of holiday pillowcases? Follow the fantastic tutorial at HERE! – this is the best pattern as there are no seams and very easy to sew. If you have holiday fabric at home, fantastic! If not, we will have kits available for you to pick at November 2nd and going forward – come by, pick up a kit, sew at home and drop it off back off before December 1st.
#3 – Have holiday fabric at home and wish to donate? Great – drop it off at The Fabric Cupboard anytime. We will prepare pillowcase kits for sewers to take home and sew to donate as well.
All right – let’s pencil in those dates, take a peek at the video tutorial & what holiday fabrics you might have to make a pillowcase, what holiday fabrics you might have to donate – let’s get together and make this happen!!!
